CNBC news leaders Dan Colarusso and Jay Yarow have let their teams know that they will be leaving CNBC after successful tenures leading CNBC’s TV and digital newsrooms, respectively.

The news comes in the wake of CNBC hiring Barron’s editor in chief David Cho to be its editor in chief.
Colarusso, senior vice president of business news, joined CNBC in February 2019. He previously was at Reuters where he was executive editor of digital, responsible for news coverage and editorial direction for its consumer online platforms, digital video products and social media components worldwide. He is also the founding editor of ReutersTV, a cutting-edge video news app for mobile, desktop and OTT platforms.
Prior to joining Reuters in late 2011, Colarusso held a number of leadership positions. Those include, U.S. managing editor of Bloomberg Television, managing editor of CondeNast’s Portfolio.com and business editor and metro editor of the New York Post.
He was also was one of the original employees at TheStreet, serving as a columnist and deputy editor, and his freelance work has appeared in The New York Times, Barron’s, Institutional Investor and The Daily Beast.

Yarow is senior vice president and executive editor for CNBC Digital, responsible for setting the editorial direction for all CNBC Digital products and services.
Yarow joined CNBC from Business Insider, where he was executive editor responsible for overseeing and implementing the editorial strategy. He began his career with Business Insider working as an intern when there were only four people at the company.
